Coconut oil has been in the news a lot recently, so I was really interested in trying out one of these. I have noticed that I've since started using coconut oil in a lot of ways.
Short of cooking with it in some forms, I have put it in my conditioner and actually used it as a shaving oil. Coconut oil is probably one of the most popular oil choices right now and for good reason.
Coconut oil is well-known for being very moisturizing for both the hair and skin. It has tons of fatty acids that penetrate your hair follicles and provides that deeper moisture.
It can actually strengthen the hair fiber strands too, so this is a nice bonus.
I have used this product on both hair types, coiled natural hair and relaxed relaxed hair. Both have worked great, though the coiled type might have benefited even more.
Other was I've found this works great is as a deep conditioner for my 3b/a and 4A hair when I'm going for more moisture before I do any type of wash-n-go styling. It is a little too heavy for my coiled type, but it does give that extra moisture that I look for when not deep conditioning.
This is a nice addition to any hair collection that seeks moisture. It doesn't have some of the benefits of an all-natural hair oil like jojoba or some of the other choices out there, but it's still a great choice.
